The Ninth Lesson Service, a cherished Christmas tradition, was solemnly observed at St. John’s Church, CNI Berhampore, on 1st December 2025. The congregation gathered for an evening of Scripture, music, and devotion, marking the beginning of the Christmas season.
The service followed the classical form of Nine Lessons and Carols, in which the story of humanity’s fall and God’s promise of redemption unfolds step by step through selected passages of Scripture — from Genesis to the Gospels — culminating in the proclamation of Christ as the eternal Word.
